Montana State University celebrated the annual Montana Hall lighting event Wednesday, December 5, 2023. The event began with remarks from MSU President Waded Cruzado and continued with a variety of music groups from campus. Champ’s Children's Choir, a group featuring children from the Child Development Center and the ASMSU daycare, who sang holiday carols. Other performers included the Montanans, the Spirit of the West drumline, the Bobcat Brass Trio, the Spirit Squad and the student body president and vice president from ASMSU.

Since the inaugural lighting of Montana Hall in 2015, the annual tradition has brought the campus and greater Bozeman communities together during the holidays, according to James Tobin, events manager in the president’s office.

“Montana State University is delighted to again host this tradition that brings together our campus community with the Bozeman community and beyond,” Cruzado said. “It’s important to find time to celebrate the strong bond Montana State shares with our friends throughout the Gallatin Valley.”
