Montana State University celebrated the annual lighting of Montana Hall Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
The tradition of lighting Montana Hall began in 2015 and has become a cornerstone of the holidays on campus that brings together both the MSU and Bozeman communities.
MSU President Waded Cruzado will retire in June 2025, making this her last annual lighting of Montana Hall.
MSU President Waded Cruzado welcomed guests before performances by a variety of MSU music groups. One of the groups that performed was the Champ’s Children Choir, featuring children from the Child Development Center and the ASMSU daycare, who sang holiday carols.
President Cruzado directed a countdown by the MSU Spirit Squad and the ASMSU President Jacob Zink and Vice President Bailey Jones connected a giant plug to illuminate the lights on Montana Hall and Romney Hall to the applause and cheers of the festive audience.
